My name is Michelle Doan Vu. I was born in Winter Park, FL but grew up the majority of my life in Fresno, CA. I have an older brother and a younger half-sister that lives in Florida with my Dad. I am an outgoing person but at the same time I keep to myself. I do well in situations where I don't know many people at events; I am friendly with new people and I think it is fascinating to hear many different life stories. I like to look at the big picture from multiple views, in other words I am really open minded. I like trying new adventures and meeting new people. My weakness are that I overanalyze situations and I can get caught up in moments.
I attended Buchanan High School and graduated in 2009. I am currently in my junior year, obtaining a Business Administration Degree at California State University of Fresno. I work two jobs; one job I work as transactions coordinator for a real estate agent and another job as a pharmacy clerk at an independent pharmacy. Working both jobs and being a full-time student is very challenging, but being very organized has helped me.
When I am not working or studying for classes I enjoy reading, cooking, and exercising. I love food. My saying is: "You will never have to worry about me becoming anorexic or bulimic because I love food too much to just stop eating". I enjoy trying new restaurants and new types of food. I keep a blog about different kinds of foods that I like or different kinds of food that I have eaten. I also like writing reviews on Yelp.com.
For me to be able to eat as much food as I do I like to keep up with my fitness. I enjoy walking, yoga, cycling, and swimming. I also love to cook and bake. With my co-workers and family I'm known to make really tasty desserts. If I could I would open a restaurant or bakery. I recently just got back into reading but it is a good time killer. I enjoy reading romance literary books or books about life. One of my favorite books is "The Art of Racing In the Rain" by Garth Stein.
I also love to keep up with the news and sports. I find keeping up with daily news and topics are a good conversation starter. I will always and forever root for the University of Florida Gators and I am a 2 years going on 3 years San Francisco Giants fan. I enjoy college football more than NFL, because I feel college players are more into the game than NFL players who are just playing for the big bucks, but if I had to pick I would root for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I am also an addicted viewer to Good Morning America on ABC network, and one of my bucket list to-dos is to be on the show.
I hope in the future I will be able to travel to different places like Europe or to other states like New York, Chicago, and Hawaii. I am always open to new adventures and I take life as it comes by.
